Welcome to Term 3!

Welcome back to the gym for Term 3! We hope everyone had a fantastic break and is ready for another action-packed term of movement, growth, and fun. We have a lot of exciting updates and celebrations to share as we kick off the second half of the year.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Committee & Constitution Update

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our recent Special General Meeting. We are pleased to announce that our new constitution was officially voted in and accepted. This updated document modernizes our governance and ensures our club is set up for long-term success. An updated copy of the constitution will be uploaded to our website once the Office of Fair Trading has provided written approval.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) to join the committee! If you are passionate about our community and want to help shape the future of the club, we would love to have you on board. Please reach out to us via email Committee@southportgymnastiscs.com to learn more about how you can get involved.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Building Upgrades Commencing Mid-August

The wait is almost over! Physical progress on our long-awaited external building upgrades is officially scheduled to commence in mid-August. We will share specific details regarding safety zones and any temporary access changes closer to the start date.

๐ŸŒŸ Recreational Classes โ€“ What a Term!

What a fantastic Term 2 it has been! We are incredibly proud of all the hard work, determination, and enthusiasm our recreational gymnasts have shown throughout the term.

  • Kindergym: Our program has been full of smiles, laughter, and learning, with our youngest gymnasts building their confidence, coordination, and fundamental movement skills through fun and engaging activities. Itโ€™s been amazing to see their independence and love for gymnastics continue to grow.

  • Bronze, Silver, Gold & Boys Classes: These groups have also had an outstanding term. Gymnasts have worked hard mastering new skills, improving their strength and flexibility, and challenging themselves every week.

  • The Term 2 Gala: We wrapped up the term with an incredible Gala, where our gymnasts had the opportunity to showcase everything they have been working on to their family and friends. It was fantastic to see the confidence, pride, and excitement on every gymnastโ€™s face as they performed.

A huge thank you to all of our families for your continued support and for helping make the Gala such a special event. Congratulations to all of our recreational gymnasts on a wonderful Term 2. We canโ€™t wait to see what youโ€™ll achieve in Term 3!
